Located in Barcelona, Spain, our second Scandi-Boho home tour begins in a lighted hall. A tasseled living room rug lies boho vibes under a Scandi lounge chair and a tripod floor lamp.
The Scandinavian style chair design features an element of cord wrapped around the frame that nods to the boho aesthetic.

The bedroom is small but well arranged. A flat-textured bedroom rug holds together a pair of Scandinavian stools at the end of the bed. Rotating hanging light shades expand the symmetrical arrangement on each side of the bed.
The bathroom contains sharp black accents in the form of a linear modern bathroom, black toilet appliances and a black shower.
On our final Scandi-Boho home tour, bright turquoise accents rock a primarily neutral decorative palette. A large rug lays a simple pale gray base for the layout of the living room.

Our first rustic Mediterranean-inspired villa design comes to us from Turks and Caicos Islands, lying on the southeastern outskirts of the Bahamas. We begin the villa tour in a luxurious bedroom design, where light drapes of arpels flow in the wind at wide windows.
Hessian treatment of headboard and matching throw adds a deep, visually warming texture to the bed, along with two decorative jute accent cushions. Stainless steel bedroom hangers feature a much cooler and sharper aesthetic on both sides of the bed.
A floor lamp adds a stainless steel accent next to a lounge chair in the corner of the bedroom. A set of glass doors leads to the terrace to extend the bedroom into a cool seat.
Next to the bedroom chair, a small table provides a convenient cornice for putting down books and a cold drink. A mature plant blooms in a handmade wicker plant.
Round jute floor cushions are spread out on the concrete terrace that lies outside the bedroom. Just around the corner, the blue pool water glows invitingly in the sunlight.
A wicker chair pulls up at a floating rustic desk design that functions as a media unit under the TV, as well as a canvas table.
A natural jute rug is unfolded across the bedroom floor, ending just below the wicker chair to form one cohesive space.

Inspired by history and tradition, this 402.37 square meter home is a true piece of the Mediterranean, quietly merging with the beautiful natural landscape. Created by an architectural firm Beef Architect, This luxury home in Mallorca is respectfully built of local stone to follow along with the traditional stone towns on the island. The stone facade helps maintain a cool temperature during the summer and helps to accumulate heat in the winter months. Inside the apartment, the stone walls become an attractive rustic aesthetic that gives the house a sense of security and constancy. Modern furniture and striking lighting fixtures form a contemporary decoration with elements of natural wood, rattan and glass.
Casa Fly reflects the popular architecture not only by stone that is sourced from the local quarry, but by using traditional techniques that are used throughout the island of Mallorca.
Based on the typical construction of Majorcan houses and their boundary walls, the traditional dry technique of “Pedra en sec” links the building with the local design, which was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2018.
The home opens onto a large pool terrace where fingers of concrete extend over the inviting blue water.
The house is built in respect of the local environment; ventilation systems and areas of natural shade are included to offer relief from the hot Mediterranean sun.
The window is snowed deep into the structure of the house, where the windows find shade under large concrete slabs.
The rustic stone-built aesthetic flows from the outside to the large and spacious interior, where it meets with lime plaster, Lime stucco. A gray modular sofa is arranged in a sociable U-shaped layout, proving plenty of space for extended family and friends.
When dinner time calls, a large rectangular dining table seats up to eight guests. The wooden dining set is complemented by a wooden lath wall feature behind it. These wooden tin walls repeat all over the interior, where they create an interesting shade play as the sunlight moves. As well as portraying the contemporary lattice trend, the natural wood communicates a local traditional atmosphere.
The side wall panels also allow airflow through the home, even while the exterior shutters are closed. Appearance clay dining room lights complete the warm tone of the wooden dining room.
Slatted ceilings bring a softer wood tone to the living room, cutting a contemporary feel over the rustic exposed masonry.
Floor-to-ceiling wooden shutters fold closed across the transitional living space between the interior and the pool terrace for heat prevention. Not only useful, but aesthetically these wooden shutters beautifully listen to the traditional facades of typical Majorcan houses.
Once the shutters are removed, a modern dining room connects with the pool terrace to provide a shaded dining room with a beautiful view.
The unique dining set has a pair of solid wood benches that fuse with the table top.
As we pass the naturally ventilated dining room, we enter the kitchen through a set of sliding glass doors. The series of doors used throughout the property allows fresh air to enter each apartment, or flow through the entire home. Removable furniture stands out against the modest decor, here in the form of a custom cantilevered kitchen island that complements the exterior canopies.
A concrete canopy shades an outdoor seat by the pool.
Casa Fly was molded to deliver an extraordinary experience to its residents during each turn.
A bold cantilever staircase design climbs to the upper floor. Wooden slats build a coordinating vertical axis that forms the backbone of the house.
Above, a modern upholstered bed places a simple gray platform against the warming tones of a stone-headed wall.
The wooden lattice panel aesthetic repeats itself inside the bedrooms, creating a soothing coherence throughout the house.
Blue decorative accents are inspired by the view of the clear blue sky and the Mediterranean Sea.
The rest of the interior color palette is happily uncomplicated in shades of gray and sandy beige.

Airflow moves through the entire house to the skylights to provide vertical and horizontal ventilation.

Indoor plants and botanical wall art provide much of the greenery, but a delicious mint green and white kitchen, fresh mint green children’s decor and a green accent master bedroom are spread out on the edifying color palette. We’ll also find a powder blue and red design of a bedroom, and a plethora of built-in furniture ideas.
An elegant ceiling fan is tucked into a circular ceiling niche in the first of our two home tours. The unique canopy sets a curved shape for the rest of the room, where a round coffee table reflects its silhouette.
A lattice wooden stand adds a contemporary style to the white marble round coffee table. A square ottoman and a linear modern sofa are softened with rounded corners to suit the room aesthetic. Lightweight apricot accent cushions add visual warmth to the gray sofa upholstery.
The TV stand carries a traditionally inspired aesthetic with elegantly framed doors and brass details. Curved edges smooth the unit into the white TV wall, where a circular detail paints a striking feature behind the TV screen.

The narrow galley kitchen directs the eye to a high window with a city view.
Shoe storage is lit under a set of built-in storage units in the home entrance. Open shelf corners heat up the white installation with moments of natural wood tone.
A custom L-shaped desk draws around the perimeter of the small, square room. Wall shelves take advantage of the vertical storage space.

The first of our three home designs, pictured by Yurii Chaikovskyi and Nina Semenkova, is an impressive high-ceilinged home with elegant arches and rich muted green accents. Our second home design features a double height living room with a colorfully eclectic style. The last of our tours takes place in an all-white home interior, where classic details create deep boundaries of decorative cover and woodwork around a counteractive core of ultramodern pieces.
This incredibly spacious holiday home is Villa Lago Maggiore, located on picturesque terrain in Italy. The impressive high-ceilinged luxury lounge is airy and sun-kissed, and has classic architectural arches of immense proportions.
A large carpet sets up a soft gray island for the lounge area in the open plan residential area. The quiet monochrome palette benefits greatly from the addition of richly contrasting deep-green accent pieces in the form of two modern chairs.
An oval coffee table injects extreme black accents into the center of the light lounge furniture.
Deep green split cushions and matching projections accentuate the lightweight modular sofa.
The high ceiling of the large dwelling is accentuated by a grand modern chandelier.
Delicate modern dining chairs shine with gold frames. A gold picture frame complements the luxurious metal aesthetic.
A delicate dining room hanging light shows a ghostly silhouette that allows the decorative molding of the classic interior to retain the ultimate spotlight.

On the outskirts of Bharuch, Gujarat, the dense 50-year-old Sapota plantations held both the main attraction and the biggest challenge in the design of this weekend house for the Shah family. Set within 800,000 square feet of countryside, the plot features 30 adult Sapot trees, which the customers wanted to preserve in all their glory. External link: Dipen Gada Architects devised a plan to form a 15,000-square-foot house around the mature trees, making them the main feature of the imposing home. A central courtyard houses one of these majestic trees right in the heart of the home, while another climbs through a picturesque balcony.
The exterior of the modern house is a red masonry linear mass, with an imposing brick staircase leading up to the front entrance.
The modern facade has custom-made metal columns and beams that contrast sharply with the exposed red masonry. The north-facing front façade has an abundance of openings with large deck areas arranged in advance to allow the homeowners and their family to connect with the landscape.
One of the mature Sapota trees is integrated into the entrance porch, where it bursts up through the courtyard and continues through the upper balcony. The house was designed to ensure that minimal trees were damaged so that the original beauty of the plot would be preserved.
Glass walls create the look that the whole house is part of the exterior, just as the customers wanted. The huge glass panels can be pulled back to create a more real connection, and achieve airflow through the home. The kitchen is an unconventional layout with a dominant huge island. A small butler kitchen is located at the rear of the room, where major cooking can be completed out of sight.
A cantilevered canopy above the outdoor dining room serves as the main balcony for the first floor.
An outdoor bench rests on the front terrace, perfectly located to look at the beautiful view created by the resident Sapota there.
A huge recreation space is located on the ground floor, which continues into the main hall. The multifunctional area is attractively surrounded by a unique perforated screen that features a jungle landscape and animals inside the perforated metal panels. The doors were initially introduced to prevent unwanted animals from entering, but now form a main feature of the house.
The decorative metal doors can be fully pulled back so that the room becomes fused with the landscape.
A swing seat offers a relaxed reading room within the shaded lounge area, and introduces a pop of playful color.
The front entrance leads directly to the central courtyard design of the home, where another fabulous tree retains its territory.
The business background of the customers in industrial manufacturing is communicated through the metal structural system of the home. The steel makes a bold counteraction with the organic elements that speak of the customer’s passion for living in nature.
The canopy of the tree reaches the full height of the home, where it bursts into the blue sky.
Walking down the glass corridor between the central courtyard and the balcony sets you up between the treetops. A seat on the balcony looks too dreamy and inviting to resist.
The home theater is located upstairs on the first floor, to the left of the courtyard. The theater room is furnished with a U-shaped modular sofa and a second row at the back to accommodate many guests who can even sleep in a pinch. A Dali light control system is used to dim the lights in the room at the film, or guests can watch from the air terrace, which opens to the northeast.
An external staircase goes up towards the pool deck.
Up on the pool terrace, mature trees grow a protective embrace around the property.
Two bedrooms open directly to the pool.
Behind the central courtyard, there is an internal staircase and elevator. Made of 10 mm folded metal plates, the staircase rises to two open roof slits, which cause a magical play of light on a piece of ceramic art by artist Devesh Upadhyay, and a desi-painting in Kalamkari art.
The first bedroom that connects with the pool is the master bedroom. Radhika Kacha’s dark blue moon landscape makes for a fascinating bedroom wall decoration. Wicker jewelry complements the visual warmth of the exposed red masonry.
Simple and practical furniture was taken care of by DAAZ.
The guest room is decorated with fresh green accents that drape the platform bed and brighten up a gray bedroom chair. An opening to a balcony and a modern ceiling fan cools the concrete room. See more unique ceiling fans here.
The bathroom is also colored with green accents that complement nature’s own color palette.
The house design was developed with Vastu’s foundations firmly in mind.
The red house contrasts brightly with the natural greenery that rushes up to meet it.
Floor plan. The central courtyard serves as the arrival point on the upper floor, which connects with the front deck area above the front entrance. On this level, there is also a service pantry, and the large home cinema with its huge deck area on the east side.
Plan of the ground floor. The tree pricked grand entrance immediately establishes the union between the natural environment and the man-made structure that forms this unique home.

Traditional Kerala architecture is a famous style of South India, which is primarily based on the science of carpentry principles which are known as Thachu Shastra, and the science of architecture & construction known as Vastu Shastra. A central, airy courtyard is essential in a traditional Kerala home, and that is why a pond edge courtyard design creates the heart of this 2400 square foot residence in Palakkad. Designed by i2a Architects for Mr. Rajeev & family, this house was created with a fundamental concept ‘Idanazhi’, which in regional language means corridor. The light-filled hallway establishes easy flow through every open area of the home, keeping family members close and connected.
The most distinctive features of Kerala style architecture are monsoon-resistant roofs that take long and steep, simple circular, or square shapes, the gable windows, and tall pillars.
Local materials characterize both the exterior and interior of the home with a combination of wood, clay tile, and brick. The local materials achieve a harmonious balance with the surrounding landscape.
The front entrance accepts a traditional Padippur design, which consists of a covered entrance that leads directly into the main part of the house. This modern version of the Padippura concept also includes a heavy wooden front door for extra security and privacy around the front garden.
The Poomukham, or entrance porch, represents the first interior space of the house. It is located under a sloping clay tile roof, which is supported by cement pillars. Once upon a time, the head of the family would settle on the Poomukham in a reclining chair, equipped with a thuppal kolambi (spit).
Mature plants and abundant lawn grow a fresh green border around the red brick house.
Raw gray concrete contrasts sharply with the clay roofs and red masonry that build an interesting layered effect.
A concrete planter brings flowering of the greenery from the front garden to the outside entrance of the home, to create a welcoming entrance for guests and extended family. Exterior lights illuminate the path to the front door.
Once within the traditional Kerala Style architecture, a more modern atmosphere brings the interior to the realms of contemporary home design. Elegant round coffee table design combines natural wood grain with trendy matte black finished frame. A lined upholstered sofa and chair set sharp silhouettes. A cut white wall paint makes a fresh contradiction to interior exposed masonry feature walls.
Clay muxarabi screens allow natural daylight to filter into the main hallway that characterizes the home. Light play changes according to the position of the sun.
The essential central courtyard of this traditional Kerala style house is connected with a smaller courtyard design that comes out from under a modern staircase design.
A shrub grows in the center of the main courtyard, where it thrives under an open roof window. A kitchen window allows an appreciation of the courtyard view and the natural light here.
Narrow ponds run along each side of the yard design, providing habitat for aquatic plants to grow and adding to the relaxed atmosphere.
A wooden deck chair is set up on the tiled floor of the courtyard as a place for the homeowner to come and relax, reflect or converse with family members in the kitchen through the open kitchen window. Another clay musharabi screen climbs to the full height of the two-story courtyard design, where it filters out the strong sunlight, offers a cooling breeze and forms an interesting sculptural element.
From the courtyard, we move through the main hallway of the home into the open plan kitchen and dining room.
Exposed red masonry walls instill visual warmth into the dining room. The wooden dining table and dining chairs carry a complementary reddish hue. The kitchen is a modern gray, white and wooden layout, with a smooth peninsula that separates it from the neighboring dining room.
The same red wood finish builds a modern staircase design throughout the home. Metal railings exaggerate the contemporary aesthetic.
Open levers allow a picturesque view of the basement courtyard to look through on the ascent to the upper floor. Muxarabi clay accepts natural light on the stairs and the indoor plants.
Custom cabinets form an entrance table with storage where colorful decorative bowls and vases are displayed. Next to this, a higher unit serves as a vanity area for the homeowners and their guests to clean up after entering the home.
The bedrooms are large and spacious with airy high ceilings. A Moroccan quarter-bed and a matching desk inject elements of a warm wood tone into the simple white decorative scheme. Wooden bookshelves are stacked over the home workshop to provide practical storage. A small piece of bedroom wall decoration adds some color over a pair of luxurious gray accent pillows and a matching bed throw.
In the second bedroom, raw gray concrete decoration builds a more grumpy atmosphere. A wooden reading chair is located under a high window to form a quiet reading song. Wooden liter units fly the bed with a cohesive matching tone. Small indoor plants punctuate the dark bedroom decor with moments of edifying greenery and soft texture.
An open masonry around the perimeter wall of the home reveals glimpses of the architecture and garden that lie inside and allows the homeowners to look outside from the lawn and the downstairs windows.

Asian influence adds a different flavor to these three chic mid-century modern home interiors, communicating world sophistication. Along with Asian style, comes an attractive balance between minimalism and cozy comfort that forms practical, quiet living spaces. In the kitchen dining room, a round dining table takes advantage of the bright natural light that flows in through a large window.
The kitchen is an elegant combination of rich wooden cabinets that complement the modern mid-century atmosphere. White marbles end through the back plaza and the dining peninsula elevates the feeling of luxury. Running decorative vases interestingly adorns the counter and open kitchen shelves.
A black kitchen faucet gives a final black accent on the luxurious kitchen island.
A statement green cabinet provides a high-end color behind the dining table and a low-hanging dining room-hanging light.
A black table lamp adds mood light over the storage cupboards.
Another mixed selection of mid-century modern chairs and stools gathers around a study table in the home library.
The drawing of the hanging light from the dining room is repeated here as a pair, to illuminate the entire length of the rectangular table.
The concept behind our second home design was simplification and unification, which led to a minimalist interior design balanced with a comfortable atmosphere. A series of uniform arches elegantly frame the living room windows. A color palette of warm beige and organic wood tones complements the green views and a coordinating emerald green sofa.
The creamy living room rug is slightly stained with black accents that tie in with darker elements in the room.

The variety of materials and shapes is minimized to maintain the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in the dining room. Stone-gray upholstered dining chairs come together at a rich wooden dining table design, where a black vase provides a simple centerpiece.

The kitchen design was influenced by Asian simplicity and practicality. This emphasis on functionality has led to a perfect wall of concealed kitchen cabinets that put away an integrated oven, refrigerator and dishwasher.

The core of the cabinet layout opens up to reveal an additional prep area with an open kitchen shelf.

There are not too many opportunities to feel like an adventurer in modern times. However, exploring abandoned places and finding unexpected treasures can give you that deep excitement. You may not bring anything physical to show for your endeavors, but the photos you take and the first-hand experiences make for even better souvenirs.
La “Abandoned Beauties” A Facebook page is dedicated to urban exploration (aka Urbex or UE) and shows beautiful images of abandoned places and objects. Both past and present. We have a nice selection of photos of them to share with you today, Pandas, so go ahead and scroll down into the mysterious, unexplored wilderness of Urbex. Very strong warning, dear Pandas: your safety is paramount. If you are planning to explore some abandoned places, you need to take the necessary precautions and be extremely careful. I know you are all very capable, but you cannot venture without the proper preparations if you want to stay safe. More on this below.
I held out my hand to photographer Dominic Sberna for some tips on how to keep our camera safe while exploring new areas, how to get the right light for photos in dark settings and understanding how essential camera angles are.

“At the end of the day, just like any genre of photography and anything in life, practice is perfect. But don’t beat yourself up if your pictures aren’t ‘perfect.’ You should always try to take them for yourself. If others like them, that’s an added bonus and you’ll stay true to your creative self knowing you’ve done things for yourself, ”the photographer suggested we focus on what makes us happy instead. of trying to please absolutely everyone else.
“The best way to keep your camera safe is to always keep it attached to you. That could mean different things to different people. Generally having your camera strap around your neck is a good thing. But, if you feel more comfortable holding it, so be it. if something unexpected happens, you can move as needed, ”said Dominic.
When it comes to lighting, the built-in flash of your camera may not be enough. He said he would “always recommend” a tripod and long exposure when shooting in dark environments.
“If you want a shot in the dark or a more illuminated subject, I would recommend using external lightning or using external light at all,” Dominic suggested. “Depending on how you go, it will depend on your favorite light source.”
He noticed that the lightning on a camera has a fairly harsh and direct light. “You will cause a lot of severe shadows and as a general rule, I would recommend staying away from the camera flash unless you definitely have to use it,” the photographer told Bored Panda.

The photos are amazing and evoke a sense of mystery, adventure and the discovery of lost secrets. The photos are also covered in a heavy dose of fear, which makes us uncomfortable enough to keep an eye on.
The founder of the “Abandoned Beauties” project realizes that they credit all photographers for their work. If you notice a beautiful photo without credits, it means that the image is either part of the creative commons license or the page could not find the original photographer.

Keeping the secret of the place is a very practical approach. A Monolithic Argentinian House Set In Stone And Concrete

This Argentine house takes on a linear, monolithic shape that dominates a green landscape next to an indigenous forest. Built with walls of cold concrete, the large house features a hard, brutalist exterior that can be seen from afar. As viewers approach, intermittent walls of rustic stone interrupt the smooth expanses of gray imagery, bringing texture and depth into rectangular cuts. Created by architects at Patio Studio, the house design is both separated and connected by courtyard areas that expand the volume of the home. The patio elements create an internal-external connection and serve as an integral part of the floor layout, complementing the main functions of the home.
Located on the edge of a sloping neighborhood, the house is blessed with green surroundings and abundant native forest background. The land on which the linear concrete house is built is suitably flat.
Apart from lawns, vegetation around the house is sparse. A raised planter was built at the front of the house to healthily balance the cold concrete and stone exterior.
A swimming pool embraces the side of a ground floor terrace, where outdoor furniture encourages socializing in the open air. The ground floor terrace also has a barbecue area and is connected to a volleyball court.
Soil was removed from around the site to raise the house to a rise of 1.3 meters. This adjustment raises the line of sight to pass over the neighboring grove and to a higher view of the larger landscape.
The upper floor of the home contains nine different spaces: the living room, dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The rooms are connected by a passage and separated by courtyards.
Inside the home, warm and inviting atmospheric lighting illuminates walls of rich wood tone panels and matching doors. A homemade built-in sofa design echoes the elegant and linear aesthetics of the home exterior. Cognac leather cushions soften the look.

Walking along the corridor that connects the rooms, we pass doors to terraces and many crude stone presentation walls.
On one of the terraces, we discover a complex view of overlapping interior and exterior volumes.
The ground floor garage pulls up along with the pool and barbecue, separated by a thick stone wall.
Eleven courtyards create voids across the volume of the house that separate the nine solid interior modules.
The monolithic concrete structure of the building gives the home an introverted character.
The concrete skin that surrounds both inner and outer courtyards ensures ultimate privacy from even the nearest neighbors.
Once the homeowners and their visitors make it past the secretive concrete armor that contains the home, focus is largely pushed to the courtyards inside.
The wide path that rises into the center of the house is an experience in itself, where glimpses of the landscape compete with bold architectural features.
A flower bed filled with delicate white flowers seems playfully contradicting the weight, solidity and linearity of the neighboring architecture.
At night, the brutalist house design is revived by a light that explodes from massive windows and open courtyards.
While the concrete entrance looks tough and presumptuous, it is actually a gently sloping gradient that serves as a non-discriminatory access ramp for all physical abilities.
The winding path draws a welcoming meander to the upper floor where the main residence is located.
On the slope, a look into the social spaces of the home is allowed through wide windows.
Raised planters bring a touch of the green landscape to the top of the elegant concrete access ramp.
The same stone and concrete finishes form a coherent material palette both outside and inside the home, with wooden elements added inside to smooth and heat the living spaces and bedrooms.
The ascending path rises to the top in the form of a question mark. Shrubs grow around the sides, mitigating the impact of its concrete finish.
Whether looking at the inner courtyards of this introverted house, or looking at the neighboring forest, the views are magnificent.

Floating wall shelves in the same dark wooden finish seem to protrude from the paneled room perimeter. A minimal collection of books and project objects barely covers their surface.
A thin, black floor reading lamp almost disappears against the dark surroundings, as does the black TV screen.
A door curtain surrounds the studio dormitory to hide it from the main living space. A curved curtain with a deep wooden mantle creates a pleasing sight.
Light beige sheets reveal only silhouettes of what lies inside. The light fabric allows some light to penetrate into the bedroom from the living room windows.
With the curtains drawn back, the bedroom remains clearly defined thanks to a marginally raised platform. The curved platform floor is constructed of dark wood to match the walls of the apartment, and encloses to fuse neatly with the paneled wall.
The curved platform is part of a tailored bed design. A bedroom lamp with a flat shade looks like a tiny bedside table.
Two hanging light fixtures hanging lights are paired over the length of a modern black dining table. These are the Model 2065 pendant lights designed by Gino Sarfatti for Danish brand Astep.
The lattice wood panels that line the walls are used under the dining room windows as properly perforated radiator covers.
A decorative glass fruit bowl makes an elegant, light-reflecting table centerpiece.
Beige upholstered dining chairs make a slight contrast around the edge of the black dining table, and work hard with the window sills.
The beige sheets fall neatly along the end of the kitchen run, which stops less than the wall for this purpose. A simple clear glass panel partially covers the wooden wall panels in the kitchen to form an invisible back splash.
A brass kitchen faucet warmly complements the rich wooden background. White base cabinets make a clean contrast.

As the future home of a designer couple, this project came into the hands of LINKS architects with some very specific homeowner requirements. The couple wanted to integrate their daily work environment as a fundamental piece of the puzzle, where it merges with the regular routine at home. Because of this desire for hard work and home life, the 375-square-foot house was built on two main functions. The essential home office is located downstairs on the first half-basement floor, with a welcoming residential area located on the upper level. It is here that a tall window envelops a toned double-height room, and an impressive windscreen brings an amazing sunlight pattern.
The modern exterior of this project uses a pattern of wind blocks that perform a decorative function both inside and out. The blocks were implemented to allow a generous influx of lifting sunlight to enter the double high living space, where the playful penetration causes an aesthetic play of light.
Planters face the home exterior on two levels, which work to blend the contemporary structure with its surrounding green landscape, thus mitigating its presence on the ground.
Large black gates reveal a shady glimpse of the terraced entrance inside. Elevated planters and outdoor lighting create a magical atmosphere to welcome the owners home, and create a lasting first impression on guests.
At the back of the house, the classic gable of a roof is brightly highlighted by a strip of exterior light around its edge. Massive windows break the side of the building, exposing happy sky views to those living inside.
A tall window wraps around the sloping roof above the double-height living room, exposing the space to clear skyscrapers. The room is further brightened with light decorative pieces in the form of a soft cream carpet from a living room and a modern sofa. Modern black wheelchairs add a dark score to the layout.
The wall of decorative windbreaks provides the living room with a unique focus. The wall is raised to allow access to the concrete roof of the car park, where a dry garden is planted.
The living area is a bit proud of the kitchen dining room, where a small lighted staircase gives access. The gabled roof encompasses the entire living space, making it possible to reach the ultimate ceiling height thanks to the slope of the slope.
The kitchen appears from behind flat fronts, with no cabinet door handles.
A mezzanine platform is built over the kitchen to better utilize the vast ceiling height in this area.
Access ladders climb up and over the hidden kitchen project. A sun-heated attic net makes a tempting place for rest and relaxation under a wide roof window.
The homeowner demanded that the project put a firm focus on accessibility to welcome their elderly parents who have walking challenges. Aesthetically pleasing accessible ramps were built to connect the floors instead of large stairs. The mid-level ramp optimizes and maximizes the available area in the house.
The semi-private living space is located in front of the house, with more secluded bedrooms to the rear.
The two living volumes are separated by a dry garden, which gives additional ventilation and natural light.
A peaceful atmosphere grows out of the inner garden, which feeds on a resting pause in the separation between the walls of the two masses.
The outdoor home entrance evokes the same feeling of rest with abundant green planting and bright light. Despite its cool raw concrete exterior, the home has a warm and attractive presentation. This forecourt is also the main garden for the home, although the rooftop gardens offer sweeter views and the courtyards surrounded between living volumes give more privacy.
The master bathroom is a darkly decorated space with a black bathtub. A glass wall toilet is installed next to the shower cabin in a smooth, sharp layout.
The bathroom as a whole is a glass-walled room that allows natural light to be borrowed from the bedroom windows.
A unique bathroom basin looks through the glass wall into the bedroom and the views beyond the outside windows. A capped faucet descends onto the shallow black sink. The dark decorative plan continues through the bedroom to achieve one coherent look.
A basement floor plan, including the main garden area with a terrace, a maid’s bedroom and bathroom, a universal room and the home office, which lives next to a convenient kitchen and dining room.

New classic interiors inspire decoration of both traditional and modern interior styles, creating transitional spaces that are immaculately delicious and elegant. This refined interior aesthetic appears in our first prominent home design within a primarily white and pale gray palette, with darkened colors weaving with accented furniture and olive green bedroom decor. Color combinations deepen as we begin our second home tour, where rich jewel tones and warm wood grain form a lavish new classic decorating scheme. Panel walls, decorative woodwork and a smart crown mold frame the high-ceilinged rooms of both apartments, while fitted furniture exudes elegant contemporary lines, and metallic accents add a bright sheen.
In Novosibirsk, Russia, a small sectional sofa strikes a deep red accent in the center of an airy white and pale gray living room decor.
Layered sheets hang a striking, sophisticated frame around medium-sized windows, creating additional size. Panel molding forms a uniform wall decoration across the TV wall.
A luxurious sapphire chair and matching footstool contrast richly with the dark red sofa and its burgundy throw. Attention-grabbing artwork joins the two contrasting colors on the living wall.
Five upholstered dining chairs bring two different colored finishes to the table, making it impossible for the elegant set to appear too formal and suffocating in the classic setting.
A bank of modern warehouses is built around the doors leading to the main living space. Smooth matte white doors fuse the units into the white background of the room, with only the metal handles alerting the eye to their presence.
In contrast, the interior doors have a classic molding and are painted gray to match the gray cord.
A fluted glass closet stores coats and shoes at the home entrance. Interior lighting highlights the beautiful texture of the doors.
A mirrored wall hides the door to the powder room on the opposite side of the entrance. A deep red vanity stool injects some color.
Oak flooring goes straight from the front front door to the bedrooms.
In the main room, an olive green classic wallpaper separates a dense botanical pattern around three walls of the bedroom, pausing only for a clean white paneled TV wall.

Our next classic apartment project is located in the old town Bratislava, Slovakia. A rich emerald green sofa makes the boldest color statement in the living room, with a traditional living room rug providing intricate patterns and interest.
The curious lamp in the living room is the Moooi Perch Light Branch, which looks like a row of white cockatoos looking down from a branch. A set of wall plates presents a completely modern class on art.
A glass coffee table has set up nests in the center of the living room, where their clear glossy surface tops allow you to see through the pattern of the carpet. Classic artwork is framed by a panel of decorative woodwork.
A sapphire upholstered bench is paired with a formal entrance table, where a metal wall treatment is richly polished.
In the comfortable, red Persian rug is placed angled to the modern gray sofa. Decorative wall mirrors reflect a beautiful chandelier.

How do you embody interesting color accents in interiors without it becoming distractingly dazzling? Well, these three modern home interiors set the tone right with a bunch of muted color shades that add uplifting accents without causing a headache. We first look at a Russian contest entry that has a color-coded home layout to define each living block. Our second prominent interior is a home suitable for a creative mind, with a well-equipped music area and a gallery of KAW statues taking over the living room. Lastly, we look at a bold home project that delves into a geometric pattern while pushing back shades into the muted spectrum.
At 98 square meters, this home design was created in St. Petersburg, Russia, for the FUTURIST competition for young designers. In the living room, a black step shelf darkly contrasts with a soothing muted blue accent wall.
A light living room rug makes a tonal connection with the cream sofa. A range of accent cushions cheerfully access the underlying upholstery.
The apartment layout is divided into 3 sections, the community family, the parent block and a child block. Different colored accents define each section of the home to playfully mark the separation.
The sense of interior space is increased by an emphasis on the ceiling height. The seam between the walls and ceiling is blurred by a smooth cornice. Arched doorways and curved partition walls complete the curve of the crown.
Dining chairs are colored with a water nile finish to gently complement the slightly darker wall shade. Above the round dining table, a white dining room lamp connects with the paler elements in the open living space.
Wheat-colored walls set a subtle basic color for the parent bedroom, where a buttery-yellow side table brightens the space next to a pale apricot upholstered platform bed.

Untapped Real Estate Potential in Murree’s Outskirts
When you think of the real estate industry in Pakistan, you think most of the cities like Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Multan and Faisalabad. Or maybe even developing cities like Gujranwala or Gawadar. There are big projects being undertaken in these cities – all massive, all unassuming, all ridiculously priced, and almost all full of fraud, intrigue and corruption. But as much as Pakistan seems to love crudely made housing with little planning and a lot of disgusting project choices, there is perhaps one place where housing societies could be made just north.
Pakistan has a wonderful northern province, from which it is much more accessible and much faster to do so. Perhaps the most famous of these places is Murree, once in dispute with Simla for being the summer capital of the British Empire in India. A serene, beautiful, and slightly touristy town that has slowly been poisoned by high-altitude visiting, Murree still has vast tracts of land that can be developed and transformed into commercial and residential real estate. While most of the incentive received as part of the construction package was not focused north, a place like Murree would be an ideal place for investment. Most projects in Punjab need hooks – to recreate Paris, Egypt or some other seeming and stupid whim that some real estate developer thinks is a good idea. With a place like Murree, you don’t need a trick because you sell natural beauty. It’s a clean, simple kind of development that a place like Murree needs.
Tourism is growing and the prices of land, houses, shops, hotels and plazas in these regions are skyrocketing. International hotel chains, restaurant chains and cafes are also making good profits by setting up their companies here and it seems that the hotel and restaurant industry also wants to make further investments in these areas. Because the northern regions are mostly tourist destinations, everyone wants to invest here for residential and commercial purposes.
The situation is similar in Murree, a popular tourist spot in Pakistan. Moreover, it is a hill station and enters the borders of Punjab, but because it is full of tourists all year round and the highways and GT road leading to this city are very beautiful and dynamic due to the attention of the government, so, the most real estate began to grow here as well. Apparently, the management of such projects claims that the projects are extremely useful from the point of view of investment and the investor today will also get huge benefits in the future, but it is too early to say whether this will actually happen or not.

Unfortunately, in the country’s largest city, these are legitimate questions to worry about. And nothing kills consumer confidence like a few weird accidents here or there. Such is the case of Naya Nazimabad, which was supposed to be a stellar new housing project, who got involved in the terrible monsoon rains that flooded the city in 2020. And it seems that this has affected sales and so on. In the most recent annual report released to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Javedan Corporation, the company that owns Naya Nazomabad, recorded its lowest solid income figure since 2013 – when the company first started operating – and its second lowest solid net income.

- Ax Shajra (Certified by Patwari or Tehsildar)
- Certificate of Free (NEC) certified by Tehsildar
- Preparatory Planning Permit (PPP) Letter from Planning Wing, CDA.
- Approved Layout Plan.
- Letter of approval from Project Control Committee (DVC).
- Approved Letter of Construction Plans.
- Approved Construction Plans controlled by the Competent Authority.
- Third party verification certificates:
- Certificate of Control Structural Project
- Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP Certificate)
- Fire Extinguishing Certificate
- Access Road Approval (In the case of CDA main avenues and Astride Roads).
- Approved letter from National Highway Authority (NHA) (In case of GT road).
- Altitude of Free Certificate of Civil Aviation Authority (if in the vicinity of Airport or to reach maximum altitude).
- Useful Connection Approvals:

Orange is not a subtle color. Orange brings warmth and vibrancy to the most colorless interior spaces and is often best used in moderation. That said, the brave and daring will reap a reward for creating larger color saturated volumes when balanced by softer surroundings. Solid orange accents add fun vibes to these three eye-catching home projects, from unique color-blocked kitchens and hallway storage rooms to a welcoming bright orange entrance and two-tone orange bedroom decor schemes. We will also find project inspiration for a colorful and creative children’s room, an orange accent music room and an elegant home workshop with an abstract shelf wall.
A whole volume of orange kitchen cabinets and color-blocked surroundings create a color-saturated feature within our first home. A creamy and blue accent rug gives a slight contrast in the adjacent dining area.

When it rests, the orange cube is a solid compound volume.
A cracked floor treatment creates visual zoning between the main living space and the corridors to the children’s home entrance, bathroom and bedroom.

The parent bedroom is located right next to the kitchen and dining rooms. The bedroom provides extra play space for the little ones before going to bed.

Opposite the living area, one walled kitchen extends a bright orange accent that fills the living room with uplifting energy. A black kitchen island and matching black bar stools give an extreme contradiction against the burst of vibrant color.
Hanging plants overflow a sublit kitchen shelf that drizzles a bright light over a luxurious white marble back splash and coordinating roof.
A black framed mirror breaks the extension of orange in the short corridor that leads to the home front door.
A small bedside table is built into the side of the sleeping book to place a glass of water and store some good books and night light.
In the bathroom the orange accent color moves to the ceiling.

Dhrangadhra yellow stone and exposed concrete build this amazing single storey modern rustic home in Gujarat, Ahmadabad, India. Designed by Snehal Suthar and Bhadri Suthar of the gRID Architects, the 1100-square-foot home is a one-story apartment that was created as an intimate, modest weekend getaway. The comfortable interior design marks a connection between man-made and natural materials, with beautiful reclaimed wood, jute and rope, soft steel and entire walls of clear glass. A toned limestone floor created with Kotah slabs smooths easily on a paved terrace. These ground local materials plus local processing meant that the construction of the home had a reduced carbon footprint, which meant for the owner.
The Dhrangadhra yellow stone that was used for both the foundation and total construction of the home gives the property its name, the Rock House. The 1100-square-foot home is located on a 4776.3-square-foot site, which allows for the construction of a large terrace next to the property, where the couple can spend quality time together and entertaining friends.
The yellow stone construction gives the one-story home its warm, rustic charm. Terracotta planters are scattered around the vast paved terrace, creating many decorative interesting moments and opportunities for added greenery.
A mature palm is placed right in the center of the large courtyard. The natural surroundings remained largely undisturbed in the building of this environmentally sensitive home.
The holiday homeowners wanted to create a place that would link privacy with open spaces so that they could connect more with the outdoors. The architects responded to this report with a home design that was built around nature, rather than the embodiment of nature into the home.
The natural and raw materials of the modest home design harmonize with the indigenous environment. The architecture forms an H-shaped block that only very gently influences the indigenous landscapes.
The weekend home offers the owners a restful, nature-kissing experience that is fundamentally different from their routine living during the week. Large local mature trees provide shade from the sun along all roads. Instead of man-made walls, these trees also mark the boundary of the home.
The paved plinth raises the one-story house by two feet to provide a small vantage point over the green landscape. Plants and water bodies create an independent micro-ecosystem.
The program and planning minimized the built-in form to ensure continuous communion with nature.
The house was designed as a mere shelter for some essential daily activities, with the rest of weekend life expected to take place outside.

The continuation of yellow stone solidifies the easy connection between the interior and exterior spaces and simply lacks cosmetic layers. Red pillows and red carpet add bright accents to a comfortable lounge area, while a modern dining set makes for a weather-resistant dining area.
Unique furniture fills the rustic interior with character heaps and interesting talking points.
Large glass walls keep connections with the abundant green surroundings at all times, even if hidden indoors.
The rustic bedroom is a wildly colorful retreat. More floor-to-ceiling glass extends the home’s connection with the gardens, absorbs natural light and shows the passing seasons.
Recovered wooden bedroom pendant lights are located above worthless floating bedside tables that allow the more decorative pieces in the room to shine.

Even while spending time indoors cooking food or dining under shelter, the wide glass doors can be retracted to create an open connection with the landscape. The installation of one wall kitchen is a raw wood design that complements the organic envelope of stone walls and tropical plants. Kotah limestone slabs fill the floor of the kitchen dining room and flow through the rest of the home. An exposed concrete ceiling adds a touch of raw industrial style.
Trees around the property provide shelter and food to local birds and small wildlife, encouraging biodiversity.
The architects avoided fragmentation of the landscape with composite walls so that the house would rely on natural boundaries created by vegetation for privacy.
The site plan illustrates how the established trees were preserved to achieve natural privacy. The floor plan shows how the architects created living spaces that are without pillars, to give unobstructed views of the landscape.
The left side elevation is solid stone, creating a rustic fortress to the outside world. Stone pillars intelligently mark the porch.
As we move to the rear elevation, we observe a stone and glass facade that connects the home interior to the natural surroundings.
More floor-to-ceiling glass breaks open up the right side height of the house.
In section A, we observe a small courtyard right next to the bathroom, which gives the room a private garden.
The main courtyard is a prominent feature in Section B, where it surrounds the dwelling. A second courtyard runs alongside the corridor.
Finally, section C arranges the dining room relative to the living room and marks the flow into the large paved backyard area, where most daily activities take place for the couple each weekend.

Quiet serenity washes away this luxurious modern home project, cleverly built on a sloping plot in Andratx, Mallorca, Spain. Created by Osvaldo Luppi Architects, the impressive 985-square-foot home features a series of overlapping planes that navigate the topography of the rocky Mediterranean hillside. The wing plan is designed to focus on the happy views of the Mediterranean Sea, and to embrace a large swimming pool terrace that flows directly into the lower projection. Rough white concrete strips contrast with a warm wooden cladding across the face of the building, accentuating the divided platforms and recently differentiating the contemporary construction from the open terrain.
The modern exterior is cut by huge windows that open the interior to the panorama and create a connection with the spacious pool terrace below. The interconnected levels of the home extend to large terraces to create opportunities for indoor-outdoor living in the warm Spanish sunshine.
The cool blue pool stretches across the entire length of the main living space. A cool dining room stands just outside the kitchen, located under the welcome shade of a deep balcony overhang.
The outdoor dining room is a special place to entertain dinner guests in the evening, with the warm glow of the kitchen behind and the water’s edge shining in front.
A wooden deck runs next to the pool, creating an ideal place for sun loungers or a set of outdoor bean bags. The concrete platform that lifts the outdoor dining room is highlighted by a bright line of LED light that makes the pool deck in an inviting area after dark.
Plant edges add small moments of greenery around the pool and multi-level sun terraces. Exterior lighting illuminates the amazing wood grain cladding through the modern home exterior.
The long rectangular pool seems to extend below the lowest floor of the building but actually stops at a glass viewing window.

HBL, DIBPL join hands to become lead advisors, arrangers for Eighteen
Karachi: HBL and Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Limited (DIBPL) have teamed up as required chief advisers and organizers for Eighteen (Elite Estates Pvt. Limited), a luxury residential house located in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The initiative is one of the largest union financial projects in the real estate sector with funding of Rs 7.5 billion by a banking consortium in Pakistan. HBL and DIBPL also serve as agents and investment agents respectively. Other members of the consortium include Bank Alfalah, Bank of Punjab, Habib Metro Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Soneri Bank.
The agreements were signed by senior members of the consortium including HBL Corporate Head North Uzair Naveed Rabbani, Eighteen Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Aymen Ismail and DIBPL Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Junaid Ahmed. HBL president and CEO Muhammad Aurangzeb also attended the ceremony.
This four-year partnership will facilitate the development of Eighteen, an exclusive joint real estate project by Egypt-based Golden Developers, Saif Group and Kohistan Builders & Developers (KBD) of Pakistan. Located just 10 minutes from the New Islamabad International Airport, the large project occupies a focal place in the twin cities. With the goal of linking sophistication with comfort, Eighteen turns your dream of a luxurious lifestyle into a reality.

A free-flowing arrangement creates a connected family feeling in this 112-square-meter project in the south of Moscow, Russia. Designed by Julia Khabarova, for a young couple with a child, the home was created to include a self-contained master block that avoids including cul-de-sacs around the main residences. A central “cube” forces new scenes of movement around the dwelling in response to an immovable lifter. The material palette of lath oak lacquer, suede upholstery, cool concrete and reflective metals creates a grounded aesthetic, alongside tonal shades of gray and warm dark accents. The full floor plan is included at the end of the tour.
Gray living room decoration is warmed by wooden clad characteristic walls formed by layers of latte texture. The living area is lined with heavy cloths that create a soft background for an L-shaped sectional sofa layout.
The customers requested the insertion of a bio fireplace in the living room. The flames blink openly across a fireplace that juts out to the adjoining kitchen dining room.
A table for four is attached to a central kitchen island. The table can also be extended to accommodate additional dinner guests, serving up to a feast of six.
The free plan living space also includes the corridor area. Here, a generous storage system lines up the walls, flowing to the laundry room. Wooden panels and slats of various widths form floor-to-ceiling handles on the corridor cupboards. This aesthetic is repeated to create interest also through the TV wall in the living room, which creates a coherent look with the open concept.
The modern fireplace is reflected in full-length mirrors that are embedded in the opposite wall of the walkway.
A floating bookshelf is formed into the back of the wall mounted TV cabinet.
The homeowners chose to deepen the kitchen island by 750 millimeters, to allow them to comfortably cook and prepare on both sides of the desk.
An oak milky column contains integrated devices.
At the end of the kitchen island, a floating sink section allows direct access from three sides. Bilateral pull-out sections offer practical large drawers that are not too heavy or too deep.
The decorative scheme uses a terrestrial material palette of oak lacquer, molledo, concrete and metal, along with shades of gray and warm shade.
A central “cube” was formed to house a lifter in the apartment. Decorative blue-gray plaster and a focused light strip show the volume that contains the guest bathroom.
The central cube creates diversity in space, and causes different scenes of movement.
The laundry room is revealed behind a sliding door, which can be left open without causing obstruction. When it recedes, an empty main wall adds color to the hallway.
The door to the guest room is hidden by the dark plasterwork of the “cube”.
The private master bedroom series sees a repetition of the layered, wide wall panel treatment. The melancholy accent returns in the form of a modern upholstered bed.
A swing arm lamp produces a focused green light over the cushions. An elegant bedroom chair offers another comfortable reading point in the corner of the room.
Blue artwork brightens the bedroom palette.
Gray bedroom carpet brings a pleasant factor to the oak laminate flooring.
Gray bedroom curtains copy the luxurious sheets in the living room.
A glass vase filled with stems adds greenery next to the bed.
Mini-bedroom pendant lights are paired at various heights above the bedside table, which compliments its layered silhouette.
A recessed LED strip cuts through the focus wall of the bedroom, highlighting the artwork and a clean white line console unit.
The bathroom is accessible through the cloakroom, where smooth oak lacquered cupboards cover the walls.
Black fixtures dot the guest bathroom, where blue-gray plaster contrasts with a white wet belt and floor tiles. The niched floor-to-ceiling mirrors are the same inclusions that reflect the modern fireplace in the living room. The mirrors help build an open, airy and lighter feel within the compact area.
Built-in shelves thread an element of textured wood grain through the toilet concealed wall.
A tin room part marks the entrance to the shower.
The pedestal sink is positioned up against the wide shower wall, where its black faucet is lost against the dark plaster background. A slender shelf cuts through the sink, extending sideways to hold toiletries and a decorative vase. Perspective stool injects a translucent accent into the shower.
Atmospheric light extends the warming uber accent color throughout the shower during the night, creating a relaxing atmosphere to relax at the end of a long and tiring day.
The floor plan illustrates the flow of family life around the apartment and the peaceful separation between the private master suite and the children’s bedroom on the other side of the arrangement. The laundry room provides an extra sound buffer for the youngest household.

Classical art and sculpture steal a central stage in these three modern home interiors, adding time to overcome attraction and intrigue. The art pieces absorb a character into their modern surroundings, build a culture and create a secular, sophisticated air. One of our home tours combines these classic art pieces with a colorful eclectic setting in Manhattan, where huge and luxurious rooms are full of decadence. Our second home tour takes place under dramatic arches that frame a gathering of modern furniture, contemporary lighting and traditional mural painting. Finally, the third home design we will tour will lead us to the future, where classic art will become the backdrop for a striking futuristic kitchen design and unique geometric furniture and accessories.
The first of our two home trips is an apartment in Manhattan with a high-end eclectic atmosphere. Four-meter-high wooden ceilings tower over a luxurious living room, filled with bold colors, dark wooden floors, and a tinge of neoclassicism.
The large hall is divided into two separate hall areas. Behind the room, an L-shaped sectional sofa arrangement, two striking upholstered lounge chairs and a low-profile bench chair make up a social, conversational arrangement. A powerful, muscular bust guards the seat, while a floral mural gives a delicate balance.
A large regional rug joins the living room furniture on a neutral pale gray island. Chartreuse scatters cushions on the couch playfully clashing with the dark pink lounge chairs.
A modern floor lamp creates a brightly lit reading area at one end of the sofa.
Other artwork in the room has a face theme with splashes of vibrant color.
An enviable home workshop in front of a spectacular city view provides an inspiring environment. The desk itself stands like a sculpture on strikingly contoured legs.
The classically inspired artwork comes with a provocative twist that gives the dilapidated room sensual energy.
In the second lounge area, yellow ottomans inspire a color from the flames of the modern fireplace, while teal upholstered sofas cool the room palette.

A brass pendant light hangs a taste of Secession over the bedroom lounge, which also tastes the four armchairs below. Two side tables fall into a shake of bold purple.
The large glass cabinet builds extra depth in the bedroom.
A bedroom rug joins the two ottomans and bedside tables along with the bed, to clearly differentiate the bedroom from the bedroom living room.

Pros and Cons of Buying a Second Home
Real estate is most often a large investment. Having at least one property you own can reassure you that you will always have a roof over your head, as well as the flexibility to create the ideal home for yourself without having to worry about someone else’s contribution. However being able to branch out and buy a second property could also be very helpful, especially if you are lucky enough to have the money to make a deposit. There are certainly advantages to owning more than one property – but is it really worth it? Here are some pros and cons about it, and you can decide what works best for you.
Advantage: Additional Income
One of the main reasons why people will buy a second property is that they can rent it to someone else. This is a great way to pay off the mortgage and cover general maintenance costs, but you can also benefit if you estimate the rental price correctly. Whether you decide to hire full-time tenants or lease the property for vacationers, it can be a very lucrative endeavor. If you rent it to new tenants, talk to a real estate agency to help you advertise it.
Cons: Additional Liability
Renting your second property can certainly help improve your income, but with that comes extra responsibility as well. Before you go ahead with buying a new house to lease, make sure you consider all the duties you will have as a master. You will need to make sure the property is safe for any tenants or guests, and maintenance work such as fountain problems, electrical appliances, cleaning drains, problems with moisture, etc., will all be things you will need to organize and pay for as a landlord. You may also have to pay additional taxes on your second property.
Advantage: It is a Backup House for You
If you have tenants residing on the property, you will not be able to dispose of them without good reason or notice. However investing in a second home could provide a backup home for you if you want to leave your current property temporarily, or if you would like to help your relatives with a roof over their heads. Maybe you even plan to move into your second home when you retire. Whatever the reason, having a second home can be the perfect backup home for you if the occasion calls for it. You could even use it as your vacation home if you rent it to vacationers.
Cons: Distance
This only applies if your second home is a significant distance from where you currently live. The reason this is a problem is that it is difficult for you to look at a farm that is far away from you, and if your tenants living there ask for care help, it can be difficult. organize this remotely. If you are buying a second home, it may be worth looking at properties a little closer to home, so it is easier for you to manage it.
