Champagne gold finishes add just a hint of warmth to icy white backgrounds, while whispers of paler gray introduce a subtle hue. Luxurious bathroom design enters the realm of color under a fabulous pink tinted statement wall where the sweetness contrasts with heavy black elements. Three inverted arches form a distinctive modern chandelier over the white hall, adding a glitter of champagne gold.

The rectilinear shape has dominated our modern homes for a long time, but it is curved shapes that more closely mimic our natural environment. Curved lines smooth our surroundings and calm our souls just as Mother Nature intended, so how can we embody this main theme into a modern interior space? These two contemporary home projects embrace and fuse curves into highly polished settings where a clear minimalist design reigns supreme. Pure linearity is always present, but the softness of round furniture silhouettes and racetrack decorative elements brings a consoling balance to every plan. Here we will explore the inspiration for the rounded shape in luxurious lounges, peaceful bedrooms and chic modern bathrooms.
A round ottoman offsets the square sections of a modern sofa, where reddish pink accents add a touch of subtly sweet color.
Natural carpet matches the texture of the sectional sofa and sets up a simple base for the structured upholstery of the sofa.
The sofa layout is framed in a two-sided design that allows the homeowner to choose a location overlooking the living space or outside the window to the view.
The modular sofa can be rearranged according to the occasion, a new room rearrangement or the whim of the homeowners. Square ottoman sections can be used as side seats or moved to the front to create comfortable lounges.
A tall indoor plant adds height through the low pitched sofa layout, as does a fresh burst of rich emerald green.

The peaceful joy of Japanese aesthetics shapes these three modern home interiors, forming cohesive living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms. The combination of Scandinavian and Japanese decorative elements evokes a welcoming atmosphere that springs from warm neutral and natural materials. Practical arrangements are designed to serve and enhance daily life at home, ensuring easy operation and general tranquility. We will visit one family home full of natural light and soothing wood tones that also inspires a compact shared nursery. Later we arrive at a luxurious studio apartment of a couple with a quiet fusion of international and Japanese styles. Lastly, we will end up with a simple and elegant home with comfortable layers for quiet access.
Sunlight fills a double-level living room in our first Japandi-style home, creating a sense of positivity and well-being. The wooden platform base of a Japanese sofa perfectly matches the raised floor section to build one elegant line. Chabudai table and Zabuton floor cushions occupy the high position, with an elegant bookshelf providing an attractive and useful background.
The brown leather sofa warmly blends in with an abundance of natural wood elements in the room. White walls and bold black accents separate the wood tone into a fresh Scandi-style check.
A modern coffee table puts a geometric silhouette over a striped rug design. The strips complement a spidery media unit and a wooden spidery circular motif that adorns a cabinet with an elegant Japanese feel.
The open layout living room flows into the kitchen and dining room.
White and wooden cabinets make up the L-shaped kitchen layout. The two-tone design visually separates most of the kitchen into lightweight floating volumes.
A change in floor covering defines the home entrance from the rest of the open concept. Striking black and white tiles lay drawn under a wooden lath entrance bench and a welcome mat “Home Sweet Home”.
Backlit bookshelves add atmospheric mood light to the home entrance.
The dining table is a built-in design that incorporates a large planter, bringing greens to the indoors. The dining chairs are the Armchair designed by Pierre Jeanneret.
Small dining stools provide the opposite side of the table to allow clear access to the oven housing.
The common nursery is a compact space maximized with custom furniture. The cots share a platform with toy storage underneath. Cabinets slam on the raised bedside table, where they tie with a sweet pink decorative palette.

A pin wall provides an adjustable shelf above the children’s cabinet for light decorative pieces, while a large bookcase on the adjacent wall weighs heavily.
In the master wardrobe, the vain table is positioned to look through a wooden country wall into the bedroom.
Lighting the closet adds a soft mood light to the soothing white bedroom plan.

Our second apartment is a 130 square meter detached house in Kyiv, Ukraine. The JP Residence was designed for a childless couple who wanted a quiet and comfortable fusion between international design and Japan’s unique aesthetic. In the living room, a long rectangular coffee table stretches in front of a sofa by Belle Reeve of De La Espada.
A platform bed is screened from the lounge area with a clean white door. Glass panels wall from the entrance.
Pandul’s bright aluminum Tip Top light illuminates each side of the bed.
The home library has a custom ceiling bookshelf, designed by Men Bureau, which is constructed of wooden poles and marble planes that fit together without screws or bolts. Benchmark’s Muse Sofa extends its clean line into a side table at one end. The swinging arm lamp above it is Marset’s Gingerlight.
TwentyTwentyone’s hanging light Hotaru Buoy communicates the homeowner’s love for traditional Japanese paper lanterns.
The hanging light from the dining room is the hanging lamp Lámina by Santa & Cole. Arch chairs, designed by South Korean studio Finder, even echo the round lines of light.
Cherry wood, boticcina marble and stainless steel fittings make up the kitchen.
The main purpose of the renovation was to open the layout to natural light from all sides, while maximizing living space. Glass walls have automated shades for privacy.
The home workspace is furnished with Kettal’s wooden Riva Table. Roll & Hill’s woody Infinite Direct light is hung above the desk, while iconic Roy Layer by Viabizzuno provides a focused task light.
The same materials are used throughout the house for a consistent result.
Gray walls accentuate the powder room, and create a contrast for a white marble vain unit.
An independent PB bathtub occupies the other side of the room. Mixers are from Piet Boon for COCOON. Stool Tabouret Berger, designed by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina, holds toilets close at hand. The towel warmer is from Vola.

Grey And White Apartment Interiors With A Sunny Serenity

Each of these apartment interiors was designed by 23Design to form a sense of solar serenity in the modern world. With a gray and white decorative palette, elegant contemporary furniture silhouettes and a minimalist approach, these two light-filled apartment projects reassure sanctuaries you can find after a day in the bustling city. The first interior we will visit has a false roof design that creates an open and sunny feel, even on a gray day. Properly built warehouses line the walls and contain a hidden doorway. The second serene gray and white interior has a solar boost with light yellow accents, and a glass wall home office that shares the distribution of natural light.
Measuring 115 square meters (1245 square feet), this apartment interior is located in a tall building that faces the Tamsui River in Zhuwei District of New Taipei City. Rainy days at the end of winter previously evoked a sad atmosphere in this place, but now every day is overshadowed by the light of a false skylight that extends over the study area and the walkway that leads to the kitchen.
On sunny days the skylight is unnecessary, thanks to the wonderfully large windows of the apartment. Furniture in this living room is pale, to bring light deep into the space.
A dark gray rug lays a contrasting base for a pure white coffee table. A black console unit floats a complete dark accent along the focal wall of the living room.
Track lighting along the edge of the room, along with understated floating wall shelves and wall-mounted units, creates a gentle wash of atmospheric light.
Concrete walls and the matching roof window give the apartment interior a cool industrial appeal.
The living room opens directly onto the dining room, where a wall shelf creates a decorative moment.

A stupid sense of style runs through the two individualistic home projects we are touring here. Our first curious home trip takes place in a careful restoration of a large 5-bedroom town hall that features beautifully restored woodwork, custom details and about 8,000 square feet of light-filled interiors. Colorful artwork and eclectic furniture collection form living spaces that draw the eye and excite the mind. The second home design we visit is an attic located in the historic Gilsey House building in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. Industrial features make its history worse, while bold pieces of art, colorful accents and a tailored staircase project transform the attic into a wonderfully modern and uplifting home.
Led by award-winning architect Jeffery of Poverty & Company, this 20-width single-family townhouse renovation includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms and immaculately rejuvenated living spaces. Colorful wall art enlivens the light-flooded hall. Bright scattering cushions and throws color the sofas, while a large area rug adds texture to the floor.
The glorious wooden staircase was restored, bringing rich warmth to every floor of the town hall. In the dining room, a multicolored rug adds a bright contemporary touch with the classic woodwork. A modern dining room chandelier fills the fresh white ceiling space.
The town hall boasts an interior of about 8,000 square feet. A huge kitchen is blessed with an impressive central island that also serves as a casual dining / breakfast.
Industrial style kitchen bar stools line up under the pure white corian counter. Five elegant hanging lights meander over the length of the island.
Gray and white framed kitchen cabinets build a custom look. Two side-by-side 6-burn wolves and a rural sink put spotlights in the layout. One small doorway leads to an oversized dining room, while French doors lead to an intimate balcony with a grill and outdoor dining area that overlooks 5th Avenue.
The entrance features more delicate woodwork and an original dark-wood glass panel, under impressive 12-foot-high ceilings.

When you come up with a consistent color scheme, it’s easy to go down a path of the neutral or safe tone spectrum. Yet a boldly creative color combination will form a much stronger bond through a modern interior, as will the two interesting home projects we present here today. Our first tour is an industrial-style space where a shade of tan and muted copper adhere to the palette to complement reddish-exposed masonry. The arched theme communicates elegance, strength and modest beauty, but how do we assimilate the classically inspired arched trend into our modern home decor? Today we will explore how interior arches can be introduced into our living room spaces, dining rooms, kitchens and even bedrooms with subtlety and grace, using three inspiring home projects pictured by Elemental Design. These spaces have everything from arched home workshops, built-in shelf corners and arched chandeliers, to beautifully shaped cabinet door cuts, arched themed artwork, modern mirrors and decorative wall paint ideas. We will also see a fusion with the similarly rounded tops of racetrack elements, curved furniture contours and rounded accessories that complement the arched aesthetic.
A striking arch is located in a dead center of the living room in this modern home, where it forms an elegant background behind a small sofa. On the other side of the living room rug, an arch-supported lounge chair adds a complementary curve.
Two round coffee tables are grouped in the center of the living room, under a graceful counterbalanced arched chandelier.
Round rattan screens border a treasured Buddhist altar, lightly separating it from the TV wall and media cabinet.
The arched device behind the living room sofa is actually a compact home workshop, tucked into a row of custom storage areas. The attractive white and wooden built-in warmly commands the combination of the living room dining room.
Moving into the kitchen dining space, a modern dining table and chairs stand extend below Model 2065 pendant lights designed by Gino Sarfatti for Danish brand Astep.

Luxury Open Concept Home With Pool & Party Room In Brazil

Located in a residential area of São Paulo, Brazil, the project concept for this 1280 square meter luxury home began with the pool. Designed by Matheus Farah + Manoel Maia Architecture, this luxurious home design centers around a huge pool that is visible from most rooms in the house, where the easy indoor-outdoor lifestyle is given. The architecture of Ibsen House was created to facilitate shared moments and connected living through impressive large sliding walls, while also providing intimate privacy. The most private space of the home is located underground, where special neon light and acoustic treatments form the Red Room, the best festive hiding place.
Retractable walls break up the large free plan living space, fully connecting the luxurious living room with the spacious pool terrace and gardens.
A volume of wood is suspended above the kitchen dining room. Its solid wooden facade is replaced by two sets of double shutters to reveal a modern home office space. To preserve the interrupted wooden block appearance, the ceiling of the home office is also entirely wooden. Bookcases draw color across the back wall.
In the evening, the vast vertical garden walls are illuminated to surround the open side home with abundant greenery even after dark. The tropical leaves grow a dramatic texture and shape to feather the edges of the linear modern architecture.
The open layout is a coordinated plan of color, materials, and connected operation that holds a close relationship with the external environment.
The layout has almost no fixed walls. The vertical gardens and large sliding panels divide the living spaces, creating quiet hybrid areas that cause cross-encounters.
At one end of the luxurious living room, a TV lounge is furnished with a massive bookshelf that blasts color into the gray-white and wood-toned decorative scheme. Deep blue accent pieces cause further disruption of the neutral palette, with scattering cushions and standing chairs.
A large area rug defines the comfortable lounge area from the rest of the open plan by forming a comfortable island of light color and soft texture underfoot.
A formal dining room runs next to the long kitchen island on the other side of the room.
The underside of the wood-clad suspended home office volume is reflected by a solid wooden kitchen island. A concrete base builds a cool contrast.
A second lounge is located on the decorated terrace, right next to the pool.
A piece of modern art languishes in the sunlight.
The external arrangement of control blocks is interrupted by more vertical gardens, which harmoniously fuse the volumes with the tropical surroundings.
The architecture and cultivation guarantee intimate discretion.
Red upholstery for exterior furniture marks the change of zone from the cool blue accent interior.
A roof deck is added to the leisure areas of the house.
On the other side of the social volume, doors on longitudinal tracks open to connect with an outside dining room.
Moving upstairs, we see the interrupted home office from inside. When closed, the wooden cap shutters create a private cocoon.
A tailor-made built-in desk, storage compartments and wall shelves fill the entire length of the narrow workshop.
A small interior living room and kitchen join the roof terrace.
The rooftop social areas offer a privileged view to the local neighborhood. Guest rooms and other private facilities overlook the pool through large windows.
An outdoor dining set, outdoor sofas and a large hot tub stand during a parade of wooden decks, while a set of sun loungers lies on a grassy edge.
Going down, not only does the house hold a gym and a large garage, but there is access to the hidden Red Room. Atmospheric red lighting and special acoustic treatments make it an ideal place for the homeowner’s private parties.
Red neon lights expose the ceiling and walls of the party room, creating a bright nightclub look. A lighted bar brightly strikes the length of the space, making backlit silhouettes of the modern bar stools. A large TV screen is arranged for sports and events.
The wooden lath shutters, which restore privacy, cross the wide-open side volumes, and cause an attractive light play on the interiors.
Vertical gardens and tall tropical trees provide glass-walled rooms with full sun privacy.
External steps connect the terraces.
The ground floor plan makes an L-shaped arrangement around the edge of the rectangular pool, placing the master series perpendicular to the main hall.
Two elegant lounge chairs and a small table are a perfect place for morning coffee on the bedroom deck.
The suspended deck is created by the supporting structure of the bedroom’s wide wooden lath private shutters.
Elegant white marble fashions a luxurious bathroom interior, where black fixtures and arms and a black toilet pan give dark accents. A square roof window opens the ceiling to natural daylight.
Dressed in honey-toned wood, the contemporary home exterior warmly contrasts with the clear blue sky.

Today we take a look at three amazingly unique and colorful home interiors that communicate strange creativity and delightful fun. Our first prominent home interior is a vibrant purple ibiza cushion with futuristic curves and fashionable terrace decorative elements. We are moving alongside Russia, where an interesting interior decoration scheme includes the rainbow in a small studio layout. Finally we climb to new heights of color embodiment in a home with a tailored red spiral staircase and green courtyard, and a host of modern furniture compatible.
Located in Ibiza, Spain, this unique and colorful home design measures 300 square meters. Inspired by the extraterrestrial landscapes of Lanzarote combined with the naturally bright colors of Ibiza, a bright futuristic interior was created. Lilac walls, a purple sofa and a matching ottoman give the space a vibrant basic color, while bright blue accents and a bold earthy plot enrich the scheme.
Wood was omitted from the project to conserve nature. Instead, shiny perspective and metals form the accents. A small side table threads an extra accent through the sectional sofa layout, where it reflects the purple upholstery.
Large windows and edge doors connect the interior with the beauty of the island. The concept for this home design was considered a future where man and nature coexist harmoniously. The result is a habitat that feels like it could be located on another planet.
Tailored furniture was designed to emphasize the futurism of the interior, much of it on a colorful terrace.
Money green upholstered dining chairs inspire color from the green patches on the terrace. A circular window cuts an opening from the terrace, where a perforated canopy filters the sunshine.
Two orb pendant lights complete the round window and the smooth contours of the terrace dining table.
Terrazzo pattern colors a row of rounded kitchen units at the back of the living room. A ribbed kitchen island holds a contrasting clean white finish and a striking purple roof.

A color-coordinated purple sink and kitchen faucet merge with the bright workplace.
In the purple corridor, an arid courtyard darkens in the sunlight that pours through a round roof window above it.
Terazzo tiles fill the shower, behind a blue tinted shower screen.
Man-made cactus stands to catch discarded clothing or fresh cloth.
Purple panels cover a bathroom wall and disguise the door.
This 52.02 square meter studio is located in Korolev, Russia.
A rainbow of accent colors works to zoning different areas around the small home. A pink kitchen island floats all alone in the center of the space, while a purple gradient frames the kitchen towers.
The tufted sofa sets an earthy beige moment among the myriad colored accent pieces.
The bedroom area of the studio apartment is revealed behind a sliding bright orange screen. The interior of the bedroom is an unsaturated decorative pattern only gray and white. The purple kitchen cabinets continue down the hallway of the home, where they create a bright first impression at the front door. Textured area rugs match a comfortable color throughout the living room floor.
A console table reflects both the pink color and the curves of the kitchen island at the back of the room. Colorful decorative vases adorn the top of the floating console unit, along with a collection of design books and interesting art prints.
Mirror and hammered steel panels reflect the colors of the room, and reflect natural light deep into the space.
The simple white dining room hangs lighted threads across a cool concrete ceiling that serves to counterbalance the multicolored furniture. Indoor plants grow a burst of greenery around the dining room and across the metal-covered window sill.

Our ultimate unique home interior has a tailored staircase project born out of the client’s desire for a staircase with light visibility, and the designer’s vision of a core sculpture for the house.
The staircase design forms a modular wave of red steps over a small green courtyard.
The spiral staircase and complete stepped patio design inspire an interior of contrasting red and green furniture and décor.
The contemporary parametric spiral winds through various levels of the house, leading with it the bright red accent color.
The bold color story gives the home a unique identity.

Do Foreigners Own Land / Property in Pakistan?
Property in Pakistan, land is a provincial issue with different regulations governing land acquisition in each province. Generally, any foreign national who has received permission from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Federal) and the respective provincial government can acquire land according to his capacity. In addition, if a company is affiliated with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), a foreigner can own land.

In addition to media, banking, agriculture and airlines, the government imposes upper limits on investment. - Lower Border
There is no ‘minimum’ amount set for investment in equity ownership in all permitted sectors. - Strangers can get 100% foreign ownership in all sectors except the areas mentioned in the upper limit.
- According to the sixth clause of the Foreign Private Investment Act 1976, for advertising and investment protection and the procedural requirements defined by the Handbook of Changes of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) 2002, foreign investors retain the right to repatriate their funds, whether acquired profits or their dividends, in the original currency of the respective state from which the investment was made.
- Foreigners may appoint authorized banks or merchants to repatriate profits/investment income/dividends through an appropriate banking channel.
- Regarding portfolio investment, foreigners must open a Special Convertible Rupee Account (SCRA) in any local bank to extract their dividends and sales income. They can invest in all securities listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
- According to the regulations of the SBP and SECP, foreigners can access domestic borrowing according to the Debt Equity Report.
FDI field in Pakistan
Since the last decade, Pakistan has been receiving a healthy and consistent flow of foreign investment from Asia, America, Australia, Africa and Europe.
In July 2021, the SECP reported 1,949 incorporations of new companies, with a total amount of 147,842. In these registrations, the construction and real estate sector tops the list.
Finally, for the promotion of FDI, the government ensures optimal treatment of foreign investment. The Economic Reform Protection Act of 1992 and the Foreign Private Investment (Advertising and Protection) Act of 1976 provide “No Less Favorable” treatment to foreign investors compared to National Investors in similar circumstances. With growing trends in investing as SECP assimilates more and more companies, now is the perfect time to invest in Pakistani real estate.

Sailing close to neutral but with a wavy rise of blue hues, these two modern home interiors are serene and humorous spaces. Featuring a range of complementary tones, from bright cobalt to pale pastel, blue decorative details give a modern palette full of positive personality. Looking beyond the colorful story, we explore room interiors that are with contemporary furniture and balanced with a classic infusion of chic wall. Gray, white and wood tone make quiet companions for blue elements in our first home trip, while our second home project is injected with contrasting bolts of yellow that help exaggerate the predominant blue theme.
Located in Moscow, Russia, this 54-square-foot home is a modern space that is colorful with a serene spectrum of blue, pale gray, white and light wood tones. Bright cobalt blue cushions add vibrant colors along a gray upholstered sofa, while pastel blue paint wraps a classic panel molded feature wall with an unusually camouflaged door.
A modern wall light illuminates a corner at one end of the L-shaped sofa. Contemporary track lights run in tandem along each side of the ceiling.
A round coffee table expands the pale gray element onto a luxurious blue living room rug. A simple glass vase and a few coffee table tables adorn the top.
The small open living space includes a two-tone kitchen with a comfortable dining peninsula. Beige cabinets create visual weight at the base of the kitchen installation, while fresh white cabinets lighten the top half.
Modern ceramics and a clear glass carafe clean the white kitchen roof. Indoor plants are spilled from a set of open shelves above.

An open doorway leads to the home entrance, where a mirrored closet creates the illusion of added space and light.
The mirror front cabinet also takes away the need for a murmur mirror that leaves the remaining wall space free for a set of decorative wall hooks. The coat hooks stand out from a fashionable lath wall treatment that is painted to blend with a buttery beige-gray accent wall.

Yes! Foreigners can become owners of land after the company is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). However land is a provincial issue in Pakistan and land acquisition rules vary from province to province. Generally, foreign nationals can become landowners individually with the permission of the Federal Government (Ministry of Home Affairs) and the relevant provincial government.
All sectors and activities are open to foreign investment unless specifically prohibited or restricted for reasons of national security and public safety. Note that specific limited industries include weapons and ammunition, explosives, radioactive substances, securities, currency and usable alcohol. There is no minimum limit for foreign equity investment in any sector. There is no upper limit for foreign equity stocks to invest in sectors other than airlines, banking, agriculture and media.
Foreign investors in any sector will be entitled to return profits or any other funds in the country’s currency at any time when the investment has been made.
According to Section 6 of the Foreign Private Investment (Promotion and Protection) Act, 1976 and in accordance with the Manual of Foreign Exchange, 2002 of the State Bank of Pakistan, the procedure for foreign investment is subject to rules and regulations. Foreigners are entitled to 100% property rights, except in certain areas of the airline, banking, engineering, agriculture and media.
Pakistan’s existing laws provide full incentives and facilities for foreign direct investment as well as portfolio investment in the country to increase foreign exchange earnings. Non-resident investors of locally incorporated companies are entitled to return profits/profits and divestments and appoint authorized traders/banks to repay the profits/divestment income through the banking channel.
For portfolio investment in Pakistan, foreign investors can invest in securities listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange by opening a Special Convertible Rupee Account (SCRA) with any bank in the country. Smooth microcement decoration molds this interesting home concept with curved walls and a quietly coherent pale color scheme. Displayed by Eugene Schilnyuk, this unusual decorative scheme is rooted in an ultra modern realm, though a moment of Stone Age style carves a unique kitchen island project that transcends majesty and madness. Shaded by heavy black accents, this monochromatic home interior features high-contrast living spaces that are highlighted under spectacular round skylights and a modern lighting system that winds freely across microcement ceilings. The material palette and lighting scheme are consolidated in the main bedroom, where we visit a minimalist workspace and an open bathroom.
A black modular sofa cuts darkly across the white micro-cement living room. Its armless profile and low back give the piece a simple, minimalist aesthetic.
A huge round rug surrounds the black sofa with a solid gray landing. Its circular outline eoesas the large round skylight, which is located directly above the living area.
Two black end tables surround the sleek sofa design, which keeps the dark living room combination looking simple and untidy within the bright surroundings. A wide expanse of windows opens the living room to an influx of bright natural daylight and a panorama from floor to ceiling. Pure white sheets fall between the gently curved window panes.
The modular sofa is framed in a double aspect. One side of the seat overlooks a solid white wall for film projections, while the other side faces the fascinating view provided by Mother Nature herself.
Placed in the embrace of the curved window, two club chairs and a Sampei floor lamp
designed by Davide Groppi and Enzo Calabrese provides a comfortable reading angle. A contrasting white stone coffee table and a mature indoor plant complete the chic ensemble.
Another fabulous skylight pierces the ceiling of the kitchen dining room with a wide circular stroke. The shape of the impressive skylight is complemented by a large round wall mirror, which also reflects and exaggerates the daylight flow. Unique modern dining chairs add black touches along the edge of a stone dining island to compensate for the brightness of the space.
The unique kitchen island design stands somewhere between modern genius and Flintstone fun with its crudely carved stone aesthetic. Elegant kitchen drawers slide almost unnoticed into its raw side. Gas burners lie in the stone roof.
A ribbon of LED light coils freely across microcement ceilings, passing through the predominant skylight and weaving itself into the living room.
The strip of light continues intact through the open doorway to the living room, where it travels simultaneously with the curve of the wide windows, and cuts close around the second circular skylight.
The snake light show continues in the white microcement bedroom plan, over a modern upholstered bed that puts a bold black accent.
A curved wall of windows gives an enviable view around the foot of the upholstered platform bed.
A gray bedroom rug underlines the black bed with a lighter accent. The round rug also provides a deeply luxurious texture over the microcement floor covering to keep your feet warm and comfortable when you get out of bed.
Deep sides around the bed create a comfortable cocoon.
A small, slender floor lamp provides focused reading light with the cushions, keeping the bedside table free of clutter.
The design of the tray top bedside table spreads a wide round footprint that is softened by black upholstery that perfectly coordinates the piece with the modern bedside table. A suitable bedside table flies in the opposite direction.
A mature indoor plant grows a gently silhouetted buffer between the sleeping area and bedroom workroom. The high floor also builds a somewhat needed visual height within the low profile furniture plan.
The minimalist home workshop is formed by a custom-built floating microcement desk that appears to protrude directly from the material-compatible wall. Its huge surface gives enough space for laptop, peripherals, documents and other person to collaborate if necessary.
A white, ergonomic swivel chair joins the minimalist desk. Its black base interrupts the all-white arrangement, giving the area a sharp visual anchor. The black accent also balances the dark branches of the indoor plant on the other side of the workshop.
In the luxurious bathroom, the limited material and color palette form a resting scheme that is complemented by pale gray sanitary ware.
A round mirror completes the drastically worn profile of the unique bathroom basin. Black faucets dot the white cement wall.
Glass walls achieve a complete connection with the neighboring living and kitchen dining rooms, where plants are pressed against the glass. The self-contained bathtub lies next to the exterior windows and the spectacular mountain view. Privacy curtains close around the bathroom space when they are used, but when opened they leave the landscape view completely unobstructed.
An independent shower is poured openly into a black grille in the damp room floor. A smaller stand-alone bath faucet eoesas the same simple matt black aesthetic.
Elegant single bar towel warmers are positioned from the unusual basin, ready to hook a hand towel or bathrobe.
Wall-hung toilet and video merged with the tones in the textured micro cement background. A black reddish plate adds to the dark accent theme.

Reuleaux triangular nest coffee tables overlap in the center of the peaceful, lightweight modern living room, adding a moment of smooth wood tone.

Small home interiors present both practical and stylistic challenges, but these two compact and functional interior projects have skillfully mastered their limited area. Each measuring a little less than 45 square meters, these two exceptionally small apartments have glass walls that expand the feeling of space and light to withstand strict dimensions. Chic modern decor features coherent color palettes that encourage a sense of peace and order. Each apartment design also manages to squeeze a dedicated laundry room inside a small bathroom, leaving no modern amenities accomplished. We’ve included the floor plans at the end of each tour to give you less space inspiration.
Measuring 42 square meters, this apartment interior was designed for a young couple of computer scientists. All living spaces are joined together in a small open layout where green decorative accents create a new coherence.
Fluted glass doors discard the bedroom, allowing for the sharing of natural light between the two spaces.
Along the window wall, the radiator was decoratively boxed with built-in bookcases along both sides. The wide window sill makes it an ideal home for indoor plants.
Slat panels end the sides of the kitchen units, creating a smart transition space around the home entrance. A combined lattice panel was applied behind a wall mounted shoe storage to round out the contemporary aesthetic.
Gray board provides valuable storage under the TV.
The L-shaped kitchen installation extends to the ceiling to take advantage of the vertical wall space of the room. Glass-turned kitchen cabinets maintain an open aesthetic around the ceiling line, making it impossible for the small room to feel closed.
The backsplash tiles have an interesting three-dimensional design that captures the light and creates a perception of added depth.
A wooden roof and top cut a light gap between the dark gray and green kitchen elements. White crockery contributes additional moments of light relief.
A gray entrance chair illuminates the black forecourt, where another glass doorway leads into a closet.
Clothes are organized in a neat closet system of tower shelves, rails and glass drawers.

Measuring 43.5 square meters, our second small home is located on Svyato-Pokrovskaya street in Kyiv, Ukraine. A small, minimalist sofa gets more presence underneath 2-Arm Rotary Application designed by Serge Mouille. A suitable ottoman is decorated with a decorative tray arrangement.
The small sofa is actually a two-sided design that also serves as a dining banquet for the extendable dining table.
The two-armed wall light illuminates both the living room and the dining room.
A deeply cushioned papasana chair rests in the entrance to the covered balcony, creating a comfortable reading angle.
Around the corner, the rest of the covered balcony space is used as a modern home office.
The clean cream, gray, tan and wood tone decor code creates a restful atmosphere inside the narrow living space.
The elegant gray dining chairs are the Beetle chair designed by Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi for Gubi.
A golden vein is streaked through a luxurious marble kitchen back splash. A combination gold flap fills the white leather sink. Double-walled cabinets increase storage.

Mid-century modern encounters a crash of contemporary and classic decorating themes in these three home projects. Each exquisite interior takes a sip of many eras and styles to create interesting combinations that excite the eye. We first travel to a lake house that includes an eclectic combination of elements to form a chic and sophisticated home, and classic art pieces absorb culture. Our second tour takes place under ornate ceiling roses and intricate cover, where graceful window arches inspire curved furniture silhouettes juxtaposing sturdy mid-century pieces. Our final featured home has an ethereal white scheme in which modern gold and marble accents are mixed with antique style chairs and traditional sculpture for an attractive result.
Located next to a small lake in Spain, this elegant home has been designed to limit the need for artificial light sources and instead benefits from a natural setting of the tranquil landscape.

Designers Show How The White House Could Have Looked Different If These 5 Plans Weren’t Rejected
We are all accustomed to the look of the White House, and most of us appreciate its modest neoclassical design. In 1792, the first president of the United States George Washington held a contest for the design of the White House, which an Irishman James Hoban won. But the seat of the world’s most powerful nation might look different. Many architects offered their own versions of the White House, including polyhistorical president Thomas Jefferson, who lived in the same White House nearly 10 years after the contest. But as with all competitions, the winner is long remembered, and the ideas of the losers are almost always forgotten. These rejected plans remained obscure until HouseFresh decided to revive them in digital form and show us what the White House could be like. So look!
Jefferson’s plan for the White House
Thomas Jefferson was Secretary of State at the time, and was closely involved with the management of the competition. But he was also an architect and an enthusiast of classical European design. Experts attribute a losing entry with the name “Abraham Faws” to Jefferson. The “real” Faws sent their own, amateur entry, and Jefferson’s anonymous project was later attributed to Faws due to a clerical error.
Jefferson would move to the White House as president in 1801, describing the mansion as “large enough for two emperors, one pope and the great lama.” However, he couldn’t help but expand it, adding an arcade and other features to form the White House as it looks now.
Philip Hart’s plan for the White House
The competition to design the White House was part of a broader challenge to suggest an architecture for Washington’s powerful headquarters. Phillip Hart was an amateur architect – more likely a professional builder – who submitted proposals for both the president’s house and the Capitol.
Hart’s White House repeats its vaguely absurd capital sketches. The abbreviated upper floor and faux-Renaissance style lacks the style and complexity that Washington wanted from a building that should, “in terms of size, shape and elegance … look beyond the present.”
Andrew Mayfield’s plan
Andrew Mayfield Carshores was a linguist and former British soldier and teacher. Its simple design reflects the pre-revolutionary military architecture, characterized by the colonial period of American buildings Georgian, and English.
Carshore’s steep roofs border a lead footpath, with a rainwater reservoir on the roof of the main block. But the judges lacked a vital spark to his work. According to architectural historian Hugh Howard, Carshore was an ‘amateur gentleman’ and his rejected entrance may be the only building he has ever designed.
Jacob Small’s plan
Jacob Small submitted four entries to the 1792 contest. Author Patrick Phillips-Shrock points out that the designs of the Small White House were inspired by two iconic buildings of that time: Mount Vernon, George Washington’s plantation mansion, and the Maryland State House in Annapolis.
A small one connects the stable and kitchen blocks to the main house with arcades. But its labyrinthine interior of corridors and mysterious stairs would be unpleasant for the president. Interestingly, Little envisioned oval-shaped rooms for the White House – but he failed to integrate them into his broader design in any significant way.
James Diamond’s plan
Originally from Ireland, James Diamond was an architect and builder. The White Diamond House stands around a rectangular courtyard. However, Diamond notes in his project that “the Open Court can be changed to a Picture Gallery and Illuminated from the Top, which would have a great Effect.”
Diamond’s design incorporates complex design elements such as Ionic columns and window frames covered with pediments. But the stairs are located awkwardly away from the entrance, and the overall size is supposed to be too ornate for George Washington’s tastes.

Stress-Relief Cabin: Compact, Global Assembly in 183 Sq Ft
We are pretty sure that most of us enjoy a relaxing getaway in nature, whether camping, renting a cabin in the middle of the forest or just spending a day by the lake. Well, it seems that getting closer to nature has become even easier – and more comfortable – thanks to these ready-made, round huts with sliding glass walls that can be put together almost anywhere in the world!
The aforementioned huts are called LumiPods, and are only 183 square feet. The compound cabin contains a simple bedroom and bathroom.
They have charred wood cladding and a glass facade that slides open to give a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces and were created for stressed city residents who may be looking for a weekend getaway.

The new tiny cabins are called LumiPods and measure just 183 square feet. They contain a simple bedroom and a bathroom.
The LumiPod was designed by French company Lumicene, which says it envisions the capsules as “simple cocoons”

The prefabricated capsules consist of two modules that stand gently on four screw piles

LumiPods must be connected to electricity, water and sewage networks. But the company is currently exploring new technology to offer a completely offline version later in the future

Often, spiral staircases are installed simply as a way to combat the problem of limited space, as they usually take up less space than a straight set. Thanks to their curved shape, they are also more suited to a more centralized position without causing an unpleasant pause in a free-flowing arrangement. That being said, the spiral staircase projects we are looking at here have either a big impact or a huge one in terms of their elegant modern stature. We’ll take a look at narrow wheels that explode with color, style and innovation, some larger spirals and spiral staircases that cut extraordinarily beautiful and sculptural silhouettes into their surroundings, as well as a selection of colossal feats of grand engineering.
Cool cascade. This solid swirling white railing breaks into a cascade of concrete at its base, where heavy steps seem to float absolutely lightly.

Abundant greenery surrounds this peaceful Japanese house in Hiroshima city, created by Hayato Komatsu Architects. The house belongs to its designer, who embraced the irregularities of the site, which is shaded by a large tunnel and retaining wall that penetrates Mt. Eba. At first glance, the site and surroundings seemed undesirable. However, the dense greenery, which overflows from the landscape, takes away the typical urban atmosphere. Instead, the obscure location has created an opportunity for home design that connects the luxurious environment with modern architecture. Living spaces were raised 4m above ground level to look at the view, where a complementary relationship between the new garden and surrounding specimens comes together as one spectacular scene.
The intricate exterior of the Enami house and its multi-level garden overshadow the landscape of the southwestern part of Mt. Eba.
The union between mountain and architecture changes the urban landscape as it embraces the spreading surrounding greenery.
Constructed in an arc, the architecture eoesas the rise of the mountain, and the cavity of the tunnel, that crosses it. Elevated gardens reconstruct the spill of plants over the mountaintop.
The unique home design successfully extends the beauty of the natural landscape instead of interrupting it.
The front entrance is placed inside two of the highest fins that form the vertebrae of the house. The fins protrude forward to build privacy around the door and windows of the house, and create shade from direct sunlight.
In the modern Japanese home, we find a light-filled open layout that unfolds under the warmth of exposed wooden ceiling beams. The airspace was designed as a place for a family to gather and spend quality time together.
To connect the hall with the best views of the surrounding environment, the hall had to be raised more than four meters from the ground surface. Entire glass walls open the living room to the green panorama of the mountainside.
A terrace was built around the second floor boundary, on which lay a plant-filled boundary defined as the “garden” of this extraordinary home.
The garden terrace is where the relationship between environment and architecture really takes over, as the view of the garden overlaps with the farther panorama to form the perception of a deep landscape.
The elevated garden has a gantry structure of different depths. It protrudes in a southeasterly direction, where the trees become sunlit. The branches grow a soft screen between the interior of the house and its neighbors.
The living room is soaked slightly below the height of the terrace floor, which gives it a pleasantly covered atmosphere. An L-shaped sectional sofa pulls around the edge of the living room, under the glass. Relaxing two-tone upholstery connects with the cool gray concrete decorative elements and the square coffee table, while a brown leather section completes the warm wood tone in the room.
Black steel window frames and black powdered balustrade compensate for the bright golden warmth of the wooden elements.
An inviting red carpet surrounds the living room, defining it from the adjoining kitchen and dining room.
Built-in shelves climb up to the high ceiling, providing plenty of space for books and treasure items to be stored.
A crowd of planters scatter through the second floor terrace, adding abundant layers. Storm lanterns glow softly among the low hanging leaves at night.
Behind the kitchen island, a wall of glass cabinets reflects the sunlight and the garden view.
A glass vase brings a branch of garden greenery to the simple dining table layout.
An industrial style gives the home a contemporary edge.
Every small corner of the home is inhabited by vegetation. A hanging planter adds greenery to the small powder plant, and a container of falling leaves softens the void that vertically connects the entrance to the second floor.
Ceramic vases and decorative bowls adorn the top of the industrial kitchen design with interesting silhouettes and texture.
Darkly tinted glass doors hide kitchen clutter from the naked eye.
The sliding glass doors open to the end to facilitate the kitchen accessories during meals.
Modern fruit bowls bring color to the counter.
Solid wood steps build the base stairs, while open metal steps allow light to penetrate the upper half.
The bedrooms are located down on the shady ground floor.
A family bathroom is located next to the private rooms.
The bedrooms are minimalist spaces in which to rest, sleep and peacefully rejuvenate. Church windows keep the bedrooms completely private from the street.
Family time flourishes where there is light and nature.
Blue bedroom accents just connect with the skyscraper that overlooks the tall windows. Recessed shelves are also installed high in the walls, keeping visual clutter raised away from the beds.
A large home workshop benefits from the raised green views, with the desk set against a large window.
An entire wall of windows brings sunlight spilling into the rest of the home office, where a modern chair is set up to rest.

On a raised south-facing piece of land of more than 1000 square meters, this magnificent modern property is sculpted into the rock face in Camp de Mar, Mallorca, Spain. Designed by E5 Tenado, the villa itself has a built area of 394 square meters above two levels. Villa Statera has a variety of large open and covered terraces and a rooftop terrace to accommodate fascinating views of the Mediterranean Sea. Facade of continuous floor-to-ceiling windows fuses the bright waterfront panorama with the interior of the home as well, which has an inverse layout with the main living space scattered across the upper floor and bedrooms located below. Full floor plans and a transit video are included at the end.
Pure geometric lines form the modern home project, creating a facade of elegant simplicity. At night the glass facade is enlivened by soft interior lighting. Exterior lights drastically illuminate the rough rock face.
The linear facade is covered with a wide sloping roof, which causes symmetrical shadows to fall on the floor in an illusory decorated effect. The floor-to-ceiling button windows effortlessly touch the interior and exterior living spaces, achieving an expanded spatial feel.
The recent interior design for Villa Statera, created by Terraza Balear, is a pure concept of linearity to complete the architecture of the home. The decoration is done in a natural palette that blends in with the surrounding surroundings of the coastal residence and includes high-quality brands such as B&B Italia, and a Poliform design kitchen.
An L-shaped sofa pulls itself away from the glass walls, forming a comfortable arrangement around a modern fireplace that is only decorative in the warmer months. Scattered cushions put a warm orange pop on two gray-blue lounge chairs and the pale contemporary sofa. Decorative vases bring a branch of greenery to a simple modern sofa table.
A blue accent color runs across the living room carpet, completing the blue horizon beyond the wide windows.
The open layout hall is located on the top floor of the house to fully capitalize on the spectacular views. The dining room is arranged along the window wall so that it can be opened to the terrace.
Slimline dining room pendant lights illuminate the dining table without obscuring the panorama or cutting the connection with the outdoor living space.

Black kitchen bars contrast sharply with the pure white kitchen island. A wooden breakfast bar creates a warm, textured contrast against the glossy roof.

The master bedroom series also features a huge walkway with an elegant storage system and a custom cut from floor-to-ceiling toilet mirror.
The lower level of the home has three additional bedrooms, each with access to another terrace space, and each with its own bathroom.
An evening meal takes advantage of Mallorca’s majestic weather.
The large outdoor living area extends to an endless swimming pool, making this an ideal arrangement for hours of relaxation or conversation even in hot temperatures.
A glass paneled walkway connects the two terraces on either side of the living room volume.
An L-shaped outdoor sofa surrounds the boundary of the outdoor lounge space.
